Rooted in Christ. Growing Together. Serving Others.
What We Believe
At Pineview Community Church, God’s Word is the foundation of our faith, teaching, worship, and daily living. We believe that knowing Jesus Christ transforms lives, strengthens families, and calls us to love and serve others.
Our Statement of Beliefs reflects the biblical truths that guide who we are, what we teach, and how we seek to live as followers of Christ.

We believe the Holy Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the divinely inspired Word of God. Scripture is true, trustworthy, and our ultimate authority in matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian living. Through His Word, God reveals His character, His will, and His plan of redemption for humanity.
- 2 Timothy 3:16–17
- 2 Peter 1:20–21
- Psalm 119:105
02The One True God
We believe in one eternal, living, and sovereign God who exists in three distinct yet unified persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each is fully God, equal in divine nature, and working together in perfect unity. God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things and is perfect in holiness, righteousness, wisdom, mercy, and love.
- Deuteronomy 6:4
- Matthew 28:19
- 2 Corinthians 13:14
03Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and lived a sinless life.
Through His sacrificial death on the cross, Jesus paid the penalty for our sins. He was buried, bodily rose from the grave on the third day, and ascended into Heaven, where He intercedes for believers. We believe He will personally return according to God’s perfect plan.
Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation and reconciliation with God.
- John 1:1–14
- John 14:6
- 1 Corinthians 15:3–4
- Acts 1:9–11
04The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and is actively at work in the world and in the lives of believers.
The Holy Spirit convicts humanity of sin, draws individuals toward Christ, indwells believers upon salvation, and provides guidance, comfort, conviction, and spiritual understanding. He equips believers with spiritual gifts for ministry and empowers them to grow in holiness and reflect the character of Jesus Christ.
- John 14:16–17
- John 16:7–13
- 1 Corinthians 12:4–11
- Galatians 5:22–23
05Humanity and Sin
We believe all people are created in the image of God and therefore possess inherent dignity, worth, and value.
Through humanity’s disobedience, sin entered the world, bringing separation from God. Every person has sinned and falls short of God’s glory. No amount of personal goodness, religious activity, or human effort can restore our relationship with God apart from His grace through Jesus Christ.
- Genesis 1:26–27
- Romans 3:23
- Romans 6:23
06Salvation
We believe salvation is the free gift of God, made possible solely through the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Salvation is received by grace through faith, not earned through good works or religious practices. Scripture calls individuals to repent of their sins, believe in Jesus Christ, and place their trust in Him as Lord and Savior.
Through Christ, believers receive forgiveness of sins, reconciliation with God, and the promise of eternal life. Genuine faith produces a transformed life and a growing desire to follow God’s Word.
- John 3:16
- Ephesians 2:8–10
- Romans 10:9–10
- Acts 3:19
07The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ.
The local church is a community of believers united in worship, biblical teaching, prayer, fellowship, discipleship, and service. Christ is the head of the Church, and Scripture provides the foundation for its leadership, purpose, and ministry.
We believe every believer has a valuable place within the Church and is called to use their God-given gifts to strengthen the body of Christ and advance His Kingdom.
- Matthew 16:18
- Acts 2:42–47
- 1 Corinthians 12:12–27
- Ephesians 4:11–16
08Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
We believe baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances established by Jesus Christ for His Church.
Baptism is a public declaration of personal faith in Jesus Christ and symbolizes the believer’s identification with His death, burial, and resurrection. Baptism is an act of obedience and testimony, not the means by which salvation is obtained.
The Lord’s Supper is observed in remembrance of Christ’s sacrificial death. Through the bread and cup, believers reflect upon His sacrifice, examine their hearts, give thanks, and proclaim His death until He returns.
- Matthew 28:19–20
- Romans 6:3–4
- Luke 22:19–20
- 1 Corinthians 11:23–26
09Christian Living and Spiritual Growth
We believe the Christian life is a continual journey of growing in faith, obedience, and Christlike character.
Believers are called to love God wholeheartedly, love their neighbors, pursue holiness, demonstrate forgiveness, and live according to biblical principles.
Spiritual growth is cultivated through prayer, studying Scripture, worship, fellowship, discipleship, and service. Our faith should be evident not only in what we profess but also in how we treat others and live each day.
- Matthew 22:37–39
- Romans 12:1–2
- Galatians 5:22–23
- James 1:22
10Missions and the Great Commission
We believe the mission of the Church extends beyond the walls of a building. Jesus calls every believer to share the Gospel, make disciples, and demonstrate His love through compassionate service.
We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus, meeting needs, encouraging others, and sharing the hope found in Christ both within our local community and throughout the world.
We believe missions involve going, giving, praying, serving, and faithfully responding to opportunities God places before us.
- Matthew 28:19–20
- Matthew 25:35–40
- Acts 1:8
- James 2:14–17
11The Return of Christ and Eternity
We believe Jesus Christ will personally return and that God will bring His redemptive plan to completion.
We believe in the resurrection of the dead, final judgment, eternal life in the presence of God for those who belong to Christ, and eternal separation from God for those who reject His salvation.
The promise of Christ’s return gives believers hope and encourages us to live faithfully, share the Gospel, and remain steadfast in our commitment to Him.
- John 14:1–3
- Acts 1:11
- 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17
- Revelation 20:11–15
- Revelation 21:1–4
Living What We Believe
At Pineview Community Church, our beliefs are more than statements written on a page. They are the foundation of how we worship, how we serve, how we raise and disciple the next generation, and how we care for one another.
We desire to be a Christ-centered community where God’s Word is faithfully taught, people are welcomed, relationships are strengthened, and every generation is encouraged to discover and fulfill its God-given purpose.
